Why One Dataset Matters

The reconciliation problem, solved at the data layer

Most fleets do not suffer from a lack of software. They suffer because the maintenance system, the purchasing system and the crewing system each hold their own version of the truth, and somebody spends every Friday making them agree. Volaxin removes the reconciliation step by removing the duplicate records.

One equipment tree

A pump exists once. The PMS schedules it, Inventory holds its spares, Procurement buys against it, Hull records its condition and Insights reports on it — all pointing at the same identifier, so a rename or a re-rating propagates everywhere at once.

Offline is the default

The vessel installation is a full application with its own database, not a browser tab that fails at sea. Work continues through a satellite outage and reconciles bidirectionally on reconnection, with conflict resolution that favours the ship for shipboard facts.

Built by mariners

Master mariners, chief engineers and vetting specialists specify every workflow before it is built. That is why the rest-hours engine uses a rolling window, and why the dry dock spec is a living document rather than a Word file.

Ship-specific from day one

Maker manuals, legacy PMS exports and equipment registers are converted into a clean, ship-specific database — by marine professionals, assisted by an AI scanner for high-volume migration. Most single vessels go live in days.
